Once your building has been sanitised of Pigeon droppings (Professional cleaning is crucial prior to any proofing treatments. When anti-perching products fail, it’s usually because the surfaces they were affixed to were not professionally cleaned before application or they were not applied by a professional) it’s vital that your building is professionally, sensitively and effectively pigeon proofed.
Dyno-Pest pigeon proofing surveyors and technicians have extensive experience in proofing many of the buildings in the Greater London Area and beyond for the UK’s most renowned businesses. We successfully and sensitively pigeon proof many of the capital’s buildings including those of architectural and historical significance.
Each building is surveyed by a qualified, experienced and accredited surveyor. No one building is the same and so the proofing recommendations will be entirely bespoke to your building.

Bird Spikes & Sprung Wire Systems: Effective in deterring pigeons and larger birds, they are commonly used on parapet walls, ledges, roof lines, windowsills, signage and other narrow surfaces that birds land on.
Bird netting: This excludes birds from open areas and is vital in protecting equipment such as air conditioning units. A very successful deterrent, it’s important that bird netting is professionally installed because birds take advantage of a poorly hung net. We are frequently called upon to repair or replace nets that have been poorly installed by other pest control companies.
Fire Gel: A long lasting, virtually invisible but highly effective pigeon proofing treatment for ledges where spikes and sprung wire systems are not suitable for either health or safety reasons or because the aesthetics of the building require highly discreet proofing solutions.
Electrified shock track systems: Another very discreet ledge and roof top system that’s an alternative to bird spikes and that’s effective in deterring all species of birds.
Birds of prey. Roosting pigeons often come back to the same area even after an intensive clean. A bird of prey released at random intervals, combined with other treatments can ensure that your premises remain pigeon free.
Bird-Scape®: pigeons will disappear whilst netting is being installed but when it is in situ, they will reappear trapped behind the net. Dyno-Pest has been using this pioneering system for some time now because it allows birds of any size to safely escape from the netting. Birds will fly out through the Bird-Scape but cannot get back in.
Bird Scaring Systems: audio systems that mimic the pest bird in distress so that the flock is under the impression that a predator has caught one of them. They can also mimic the sound of a predator again scaring the pest birds into flight. The systems that we use are considerate of the environment because they are played at a natural volume.
Trapping and shooting: Sometimes the extent of the pigeon problem is such that trapping and shooting is needed to bring the problem under control. It’s most effective however when used in combination with other preventative treatments such as netting and spiking and as such is only a short-term solution to a potentially long-term problem.
Abseiling: Dyno-Pest technicians are trained and qualified to the highest levels established by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA Level 111). Abseiling is a proven, flexible and cost efficient way to access those hard to reach locations where pest birds are present and causing damage. It is often a better, more cost effective alternative to scaffolding.
